About Last Night...

Date night! We've been gone every weekend...so, it's been a while since we had been out on the town. A night out with my love is double pleasure for me...I get alone time with him and I get to get dressed up. And I had the cutest, vintage looking vest to wear with jeans, pearls and my fabulous Manolos - Mr. C bought for me in San Francisco last fall. (Aren't they delish?)
We headed over to 98 South in downtown Chandler...we had only been there once...quite a while ago. When we pulled up, we noticed lots of people gathered near by...having a grand ol' time. To our surprise, an Oktoberfest was going on at the brewery - just a happy skip away! But, we were hungry, so we headed into 98 South first and had some munchies. They had a good crowd, great ambiance, and live music...which consisted of two guys with guitars and good voices. After we had been there a while, a saxophonist joined the duo. They played some great jazz...and as I sat there at the bar I had a little dream...the year - 1942...I'm sitting there sipping a cocktail, wearing a fabulous black dress with bright red on my nails and lips...listening to a great crooner (who happens to be the spitting image of Mr. C) singing some classics...aahhhh! I know corny, huh?! OK - so, I had already had a few beers when I had this little dream! Moving on...
After we snacked on some appetizers and had a few beers, we ventured over to the Oktoberest. They also had live music...a younger, louder, grungier band...who were also very good. After hanging there for a while...we were about ready to call it a night. However, our little snack had worn off and we were hungry...again! What other than Mexican food would be divine right now? Exactly...nothing! Nachos, burritos, taquitos...were calling our name. Fortunately, we stumbled upon a little shack and gobbled down some yummy food and sipped our Cokes. Then we hopped in our car and listened to (and sang) the fabulous Jason Mraz...all the way home. It was a simple night...fun night...the kind of night that makes me fall even more in love with my husband...
