A Trip to the North Pole

like everyone else...
we've been very busy around here.
with school parties, christmas concerts, making gifts...
and on and on.
but, we love it all...
'tis the season!

last weekend we made time to visit the north pole.
the evening started with dinner...
where mrs. claus came by to say hi.

after a trolley ride...
{where we entered a magic portal...to get us to the north pole}
we arrived at santa's workshop.

our first stop was a meeting with alabaster snowflake...
the head elf.
he told us all about the workshop and what we were going to do.

we made toys...
{which were given to kids in need.}

we ate cookies and drank snowman soup....
and sang christmas carols.

we sang so loud...
ol' st. nick came out to see who was there.

we went to elf school...

wrote letters to santa...

and snuggled by the warm fire...

with lots of smiles and silliness.

after our trolley ride back to town,
we colored and listened as mrs. claus read stories.

despite the fact there was no snow at the north pole...
{we were very surprised and disappointed}
it was a wonderful way to add some christmas cheer!
