My Future Home

about 8 weeks ago, we boarded a plane bound for maui.
it was our second time.
the first was almost ten years ago...
when we spent our honeymoon there.

this time, however, we brought these cute kids along for the ride.
{the four of us at Pearl Harbor.}

and because we all love traveling together...
mimi and papa joined us too.
{arriving in Hawaii.}

mimi and cade trying to figure out where we are going.

cade running towards the sunset.

this kid is my true beach baby.  he loves it.

i love everything about the culture...

the six of us at a luau.

little don juan.

this little girl was absolutely smitten with our little don juan.
even her grandmother came up and told me, "she just wants to be with your son.  she's smitten".

{i don't blame her.}

we spent a day driving around the entire island.  on the road to hana, we made several stops.
one of them was swimming at the black beach.

my two darlins.

my two favorite boys.
in. the. whole. wide. world.

this kid can find a baseball game.
anywhere.

the three of us learned to surf with kulani.
it was awesome.
i am a surfer girl at heart.

this beautiful girl loved the shopping more than the beach.
and, she kept us all laughing.

it's a toss up on who loves this couple the most.
they are the best mimi and papa/mom and dad..
IN THE WORLD.

when mr. c and i visited maui ten years ago, we stayed in Makawao for a portion of out trip.
we loved it so much, we brought everyone back there to our favorite mexican food joint...Polly's.
{truly. awesome food.}

we saw several waterfalls on the road to hana.
cade and i braved the cold water at one of the stops.

look at our cute matching toe rings.
so fun!

me and my babies.

somehow...
she grew up when i wasn't looking.

mimi and papa left after 8 days and we flew on to Oahu for a couple of days.
{Hanauma Bay...gorgeous.}

we cut our trip a little short because of a storm approaching the island.  we got out a day early.  it  was not as bad as anticipated...but, better safe than sorry.

it was a perfectly amazing trip.
we swam with a giant turtle...snorkled...jumped waves...shopped...ate...laughed...relaxed...ate fresh pineapple and coconut...enjoyed every moment.
