Does It Get Any Better?

This Labor Day weekend was spent at my favorite place...with some of my favorite people. My parents, brother and sister-in-law and their darling baby joined us in Greer for three days of great food, yummy wine, and lots of laughs and smiles.
It rained every day, but that didn't damper our spirits or our fun. The rain was beautiful...and would have been more beautiful if our landscaping was completed (our property is one big mud bog). Everything else around the cabin (and the cabin itself) is finally finished...thanks to my perfectionist husband...my Mr. Wonderful! He has spent every weekend up there...checking and re-checking the work of every trade. I guess the headaches have been worth it because it is fabulous!!!
This weekend was exceptional thanks to Bob's great cooking, my Nana's homemade enchilada sauce (which my mom brought and made some awesome enchiladas), Doyle's beer supply, and Troy and Debbie's smiles (and the fact that they have one cute baby)! Plus, my mom brought her sewing machine and we worked on a few projects. She concentrated on her darling rag quilts, while I tried my hand at making a quilt.
Breathtaking surroundings, fun family, incredible food...it doesn't get any better!
