We arrived at our mountain home to rain. Lots of rain. When we tucked ourselves in to bed Wednesday night - we thought we would definitely wake up to a white Thanksgiving. But, no such luck! As we pouted around, preparing for the afternoon feast...something magical happened. At about 8:30AM
that rain turned to snow! It was beautiful! We all ran out there in our pj's and let the snow fall on our tongues. It continued snowing for the next two days...

Our
afternoon splurge consisted of
green beans, mashed potatoes, turkey and...

Pies!
Pecan and Buttermilk...yummy!

And, we celebrated with confetti. Doesn't
everybody throw confetti on Thanksgiving?!

And we
rested by the warm fire. He looks relaxed...doesn't he?
Mr. C's dad joined us for the afternoon, as well as, our lovely neighbor, Delores.
It was a wonderful day...
