summer reads

summer is finally here. time has slowed down. there are few responsibilities and the daily schedule is minimal. and, all of this means...i can finally finish my book!

looking for a good summer read? here are some of my favorites...

the kitchen house by kathleen grissom
{historical fiction. don't give up after the first gets better and better}!

snowflower and the secret fan by lisa see
{incredibly interesting and heart wrenching}

the storyteller by jodi picoult {she never disappoints}
{baking and WWII era...two of my favorite things}

gone girl by jillian flynn
{if you haven't seen the movie and have been wondering what all the hype was it}!

room by emma donoghue
{oh, this book! at one point, i had to put it down because my heart was beating so hard}!

the namesake by jhumpa lahiri
{beautiful. heart felt. lovely}

to kill a mockingbird by harper lee
{if you have not read this since high it! i re-read it last year and loved it even more}!

tell the wolves i'm home by carol rifle brunt
{this is my current read. so far, so good}!

{randi has read them all several times. cade and i are on book 4}.
